AI Server Hot-Swap Drive Tray Description

This drive tray is designed for installing hard drives and storage modules in AI servers, data center chassis, and storage equipment. The assembly consists of a metal frame, side supporting structures, lower guiding features, and a front operating handle.

During insertion into the chassis, the side and lower structures help guide and position the storage module along the intended installation path. The front handle and locking mechanism help secure the module in place while providing an operating interface for removal and maintenance.

The metal frame incorporates multiple round holes, mounting holes, and local cutouts that can be configured according to different hard drives, SSDs, storage modules, and chassis layouts. The front plastic components can also be customized with different handle geometries, latches, buttons, and positioning features.

Depending on project requirements, the following features can be customized:

  • Overall tray length, width, and height
  • Hard drive or storage module interface dimensions
  • Metal frame structure
  • Mounting-hole diameter, quantity, and location
  • Side and lower guiding structures
  • Front handle geometry
  • Latching and locking method
  • Module positioning and retaining features
  • Metal material thickness
  • Plastic component structure
  • Screw, rivet, or other assembly methods
  • Metal surface finishing

Homer Hardware can evaluate stamping, punching, bending, forming, laser cutting, CNC secondary machining, plastic injection molding, riveting, and assembly based on customer 2D/3D drawings, drive or storage module dimensions, chassis structures, or physical samples for customized hot-swap drive trays used in AI servers and data center equipment.
